The Zerona Z6 Advantage

The Zerona Z6 laser is a state-of-the-art class 2, low level, cold laser designed to empty subcutaneous fat cells, thus shrinking them, leaving you thinner and healthier.

From left to right, magnified fat cells before Zerona, during the treatment process, and afterwards. Fat cells remain alive, intact, and healthy. Erchonia – All rights reserved.

This is the ONLY type of body contouring or body sculpting process (surgical or non-surgical) that doesn’t either kill or destroy the fat cells. Instead, this laser safely and effectively achieves fat reduction in two very distinct ways:

(1) It emulsifies (liquifies) the contents of the fat cells.

2) It creates transitory pores in the fat cells, allowing the contents (including the extra fats, triglycerides, toxins, etc.) to drain into the interstitial space.

Here the lymphatic system takes over, flushing out the waste for elimination by breaking the molecules down for removal from the body via our breath (84%) and through fluids like sweat and urine (16%).

The smaller fat cells are healthier and function better as a result, in turn helping to keep our bodies healthier. (Read more under the “ Blog” menu.)

The FDA clearance for the Zerona Z6 is for treatment of the neck, chest, back, waist, hips, thighs, arms, and more.

Cold laser (also called low level light therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation (PBM) treats the tissue with no thermal change (no heating or cooling).   LLLT has been in use medically to reduce pain, speed up wound healing, reduce inflammation, help chronic joint disorders, promote healing of deep tissues and nerves, and to treat neurological disorders since the 1960’s. (

The Zerona Z6 cold laser uses a patented technology that was originally only considered effective in speeding up recovery from liposuction.  However, while in use it was accidentally discovered that this laser safely reduced the size of fat cells (lipocytes) on its own.  Research has consistently shown that shrinking the cells and not killing them is much better for the body, especially since fat cells are crucial for many functions.
